Irene and Mac lived on the Near North Side of Chicago when they were married on July 27th, 1945. Mac's drawings of his neighborhood were published in "Vittles and Vice," a stories and recipes book by Patricia Bronte. Mac designed the book and drew the art. These are several of his many drawings.
